Job Description

We are seeking an Enterprise Reports Developer/ Analyst for a direct-hire position with our client, a privately-held multi-billion dollar retail and real estate management company. This will be a hybrid role (2 days on-site – Tuesday/Thursday) in Aliso Viejo, CA.

The ideal candidate will have strong oral and written communication skills and will be self-motivated with the aptitude to learn new software and systems. The Enteprise Reports Developer/Analyst is responsible for creating reports that present information in a clear and concise way. As a Developer/Analyst you will:
•Provide enterprise-wide data warehouse expertise with emphasis on data design, access, usage, security, and quality of information assets.
•Use data to solve organizational challenges through reports, analysis, and data visualization.
•Work in support of all managers and users requiring data for decision support.
•Work collaboratively with end users to develop reporting systems that provide accessible information for decision-making.

Position Description:
•Design, develop, and maintain reporting solutions using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), Yardi YSR, Power BI, and other Business Intelligence (BI) tools
•Collaborate with key stakeholders and business users across the organization to identify business requirements for BI solutions including reporting, dashboards, and visualizations.
•Participate in project planning sessions and provide input on reporting and data needs
•Adhere to company coding standards and best practices, including ensuring data and reports are thoroughly tested before release to production environments.
•Create and maintain an accurate and comprehensive inventory of data, data systems, data storage, and new and existing reports, ensuring data quality and data reconciliation. Identify, communicate, and resolve data quality and data reconciliation issues.
•Monitor reporting system performance and make recommendations for improvements. Develop new reports or modifies existing reports as needed to meet business needs
•Write stored procedures, functions, and views to support reporting and data analysis. Processes data extracts using data retrieval and management tools
•Perform technical troubleshooting, code debugging, and problem-solving for custom built reports, dashboards, and data warehousing solutions
•Perform independent audits and reviews and validates databases to ensure data integrity

Required Skills:
•Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent education or work experience
•7- 10 years of experience working with report development tools such as SSAS, SSRS, and SSIS
•5-7 years in business intelligence and data warehousing environments with demonstrated detailed knowledge of BI areas including ETL design, analytics, and reporting
•5-7 years of experience with visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau
•Hands-on experience with the entire software development life cycle, requirements gathering, system design, development/configuration, testing, and change management
•Strong knowledge of SQL and data warehousing concepts, with the ability to gather and analyze data from various sources, design effective data models, and create relationships between different data tables.
•Strong SQL scripting abilities and understanding of complex stored procedures, views, data aggregation/manipulation through table joins/queries, database design, normalization and de-normalization techniques, and code optimization
•Strong Microsoft Excel skills, with experience in the Microsoft Office Suite of products
•Ability to understand and interpret business requirements, impacts, and needs from initial request through final delivery, including an understanding of databases, data architecture, reporting tools, and compliance.

Desired/Nice to Have skills:
•Experience working with Microsoft Azure, Yardi, Timberline, Avid or Argus is a plus
•Power Automate or Alteryx is a plus
•Prior experience working in the Real Estate/Homebuilding industry is a plus

Soft Skills:
•Possesses strong oral and written communication skills, clearly and accurately communicating complex and/or technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences
•Team player and able to work within a project-based and team environment
•Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
•Have demonstrated attention to detail in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of the databases and data warehouse
•Self-motivated with the aptitude to learn new software and systems
•The ability to work with minimal oversight and prioritize workload, and the ability to ensure that all tasks are completed correctly, timely and in line with established guidelines and business needs.

Anticipated Compensation is $115-135K base salary plus comprehensive benefits and bonus. The offered compensation package to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include (but are not limited to) the type and length of experience within the industry, education, geographical location, etc.
