Job Description

We’re seeking a highly motivated and team-oriented Senior Business Systems Analyst for a 5-month W2 contract opportunity with our San Diego-based client. This role can be onsite or REMOTE.

BA will drive solutions within the GIS (global information services) Service Management team. This team primarily manages the ServiceNow platform supporting workflows, integrations, and automation for various internal business teams such as IT, HR, Facilities, Solution Center, Legal and Finance. This role will work with business teams to capture business requirements, document processes, ensure projects and enhancements meet business needs. This individual will deeply collaborate with IT Application teams, Business teams, Desktop Support, and Compliance to meet operational requirements.

• Partner with business customers to collect, define, analyze, document and review user and functional requirements for projects and enhancements for ServiceNow and other service management applications.
• Understand and convey business priorities for initiatives, enhancements and projects including assisting in development of roadmap and future capabilities of solutions.
• Collect, consolidate, and analyze service metrics to facilitate decision-making related to service improvements.
• Create process definition diagrams, use cases, user stories, requirement traceability matrix, and acceptance criteria.
• Evaluate and ensure solutions meet agreed-upon business requirements and drives business customer satisfaction.
• Coordinate and lead discussions between GIS Service Management team and their internal customers such as HR, Facilities, IT, EHS to ensure services are meeting their business needs and requirements.


• At least 3 years minimum working as a Business Analyst with domain experience in the ServiceNow platform.
• Demonstrated ability for creating User requirements specification, functional requirements specification, test cases, user stories and use cases.
• Ability to multitask and manage time effectively amongst multiple priorities.
• On-call flexibility, including, unplanned and planned maintenance and outages.
• Experience using enterprise tools such as Visio or Lucid Chart, Teams, Confluence and Jira
• Experience working in a regulated environment within a global company (preferred)
• Exceptional understanding of Waterfall and Agile (Scrum) development methodologies(preferred).
• Exceptional knowledge of ITIL processes or certification (preferred)
