Job Description

Our global client who saves and explores the ocean is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer for a hybrid (onsite/remote) contract-to-hire opportunity in Orange County, CA.

This role offers exciting opportunities for qualified individuals who have a passion for building web and mobile products utilizing the latest AWS cloud technologies in an Agile environment. The position serves as an individual technical contributor working in a Scrum team composed of Product, UX and Engineering.

Minimum Requirements:
•BS in Computer Science or related field
•Minimum 7 years’ experience as a Software Engineer on large-scale software implementations with hands-on development
•Extensive experience with .Net frameworks including .Net Core
•2+ years of experience building native AWS applications
•Experience in the development of event-driven architecture using AWS SQS, SNS and EventBridge
•Proficiency in developing and extending Enterprise backend APIs in REST, and using AWS API gateway and lambdas
•Develop enterprise APIs using C#/.Net and AWS Services (API gateway, lambda, dynamoDB, Aurora, etc)
•Experience in database programming with Microsoft SQL Server
•Experience with functional, imperative and object-oriented languages; knowledge of C#
•Experience with developing user interfaces using frameworks such as Vue or React
•Experience with consumer facing web sites a plus
•Experience with ASP.Net MVC and Web Forms a plus

Responsibilities:
•Design and implement software solutions on AWS cloud platforms
•Maintain existing legacy software platforms
•Implement and maintain test automation frameworks to ensure code and product quality
•Creating and maintaining documentation related to development standard, procedures and test plans
•Foster and participate in a software engineer culture of learning and sharing so that best practices, standards, and guidelines continue to evolve
•Participate in development projects throughout the project lifecycle. Assess work efforts and necessary time to completion utilizing Scrum / Agile frameworks
•Help develop best practices and development standards
•Communicate clearly, strongly and effectively to small groups
•Other responsibilities as required to support the company’s growth
