Job Description
We are seeking a Business-Oriented Project Manager to lead a large-scale commercial process integration for an acquisition. This is a business process-focused M&A integration role.
• Start: Mid-February / early March 2026
• Duration: 12-month W2 consulting role
• Location: Hybrid in Orange County, CA area (3 days onsite, 2 days remote).
• Anticipated Compensation: Contract pay rate starting at $75/hr W2, higher depending on experience.
Core Responsibilities
– Acquisition Integration: Manage cross-functional efforts to integrate new acquisitions, including setting up and rebranding new stores.
– Commercial Execution: Launch of new products, services, and/or initiatives across a multi-unit footprint, ensuring operational readiness and tracking metrics.
– Process Alignment: Focus on the integration of business processes and improvement initiatives.
– Project Tracking: Maintain momentum on large-scale efforts to ensure the acquisition captures immediate value.
Qualifications & Experience
– Experience: Must have experience in large-scale commercial business integrations, specifically with multi-unit footprints (e.g., retail stores or manufacturing facilities).
– Mindset: High-velocity driver. You prefer speed and movement over administrative perfection.
– Commercial Focus: You are a PM with extensive commercial / manufacturing industry experience —an example of your past work might be managing the acquisition/merger of two manufacturing plants.
– Industry: Retail experience is a strong plus.
Key Responsibilities
– As a Project Manager, you’ll assess and strengthen critical readiness pillars through a comprehensive strategic approach:
– Perform as a key liaison between the client business stakeholders and the implementation partner.
– Determine customer site readiness for implementation or interoperability go-live through collaboration with key internal and external stakeholders.
– Provide strong proactive leadership and change development of solution implementation projects, including extensive system, integration and user acceptance testing phases.
– Manage client concerns in a proactive manner
– Attend coordination meetings as needed to ensure site readiness progresses appropriately.
– Identify and mitigate potential risks.
