Project Manager – M&A Integration
The Project Manager will support integration activities across active M&A initiatives. The ideal candidate brings enough M&A project experience to navigate integration work with confidence — and the curiosity and adaptability to grow into new areas of the work as needed.
• Background in M&A integration, separation, corporate development, or M&A/strategy consulting — experience supporting healthcare, medtech, or software companies is a plus
• Experience supporting or leading cross-functional work across complex, concurrent deals
• Familiarity with integration approaches, Day-1 operating model design, entanglement analysis, and Transition Service Agreements (TSAs)
• Comfortable working with deal models, synergy cases, and P&L trade-offs and translating them into practical operating decisions
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage senior stakeholders and present clearly to executive audiences
• Experience contributing to playbooks, frameworks, or IMO tooling is a plus
• Highly adaptable, collaborative, and intellectually curious — able to lead through influence in a matrixed environment
What You’ll Be Doing
Integration Strategy and Deal Alignment
• Partner with deal leads and business sponsors during diligence to help translate deal objectives, value drivers, and risks into a practical integration or separation strategy
• Help recommend integration approaches and Day-1 operating models based on target attributes, strategic intent, and risk profile
• Support the connection between integration strategy and underlying deal assumptions, including integration costs, one-time costs, and pace-of-integration trade-offs
• Surface integration-driven implications that may affect negotiation posture, deal structure, or purchase price
Integration Planning
• Convert diligence outputs, requirements, and risks into a comprehensive integration plan covering scope, workplan, resource plan, budget, and RAID log
• Define workstream structure, decision rights, and governance across contributing and impacted functions
• Support the design of Transition Service Agreements (TSAs), including scope, duration, pricing, and exit criteria
• Build Day-1 readiness plans with clear operational, legal, and communication guardrails
Integration Execution and Governance
• Support the Integration Management Office as a central point of coordination across functional workstreams
• Engage workstream leads to stay aligned on scope, deliverables, and interdependencies, and help resolve risks and issues in a timely manner
• Support core team and steering committee meeting cadences, maintain an up-to-date plan of record, and assist with change control on scope, schedule, and budget
• Contribute to scenario planning and executive decision-making through data-driven trade-off analyses
• Help manage advisory partners to ensure delivery on plan and budget
Value Realization, Tracking, and Reporting
• Help define and track integration KPIs and critical success factors tied to deal objectives — including revenue and margin retention, synergy capture, key-talent retention, Day-1 stability, and compliance posture
• Assist in preparing clear, executive-level updates that translate operational detail into strategic narrative
• Track integration and one-time costs against approved budgets and support corrective actions when needed
Playbook and Capability Development
• Contribute to building and improving integration and separation playbooks, operating model transformation frameworks, and related accelerators
• Support an approach that leverages automation and modern tooling across diligence, workplan generation, and deal business intelligence
• Help codify learnings from deals into repeatable, scalable processes
• Act as a collaborative resource and trusted partner to functional leaders across the organization
Soft Skills:
• Works well in a fast-paced environment, proactive, dynamic, accountable #LI-DNI
