Job Description
Join Our Innovative Manufacturing Team!
We’re seeking a talented Software Support Engineer to play an important role in our manufacturing operations. As a team member of our dynamic team, you will collaborate closely with our Manufacturing, Hardware, Cloud, IT, and Firmware departments to troubleshoot software issues and ensure smooth and efficient production processes.
*Start Date: ASAP
*Duration: Through December 2025
*Location: 4-5 days onsite in Hayward, CA
*Pay Rate Range: Starting at $48.75/hr W2 contract – higher rate depending on experience; no C2C or third party candidastes
Software Test Engineer will be responsible for the following:
* Providing software support for manufacturing nonconformances and documenting engineering evaluations.
* Organizing and developing troubleshooting methods for Manufacturing and Field instrument failures.
* Supporting software documentation for manufacturing and field procedures
* Creating test automation workflows in manufacturing to reduce cycle time
* Collaborating with manufacturing teams to set up test digital environments
* Supporting the test and introduction of instrument production software to manufacturing in industry standard UAT
* Writing test cases and execute verification on support mfg/field software
Requirements:
* Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or Biomedical with technical academic background
* 1-2 years of professional experience
Must have Skills: Linux OS Terminal, C#, Python, Hardware and Firmware system troubleshooting, Network TCP/IX/Port/IP protocol, Software Development Lifecycle, Software Test and Quality Process
* Experience in the software world and understanding scripting with Python
Nice To Have Skills:
Experience in a manufacturing setting highly preferred.
Technical writing skills, Jira, Asana, GIT, Teamcity, Artifactory, Software Test Automation, Windows (Control Settings, Security Settings, Command, etc)
Soft Skills:
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
* A team player with strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including test engineers, systems analysts, engineers, and stakeholders.
* Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize in high-pressure situations
* Multi-tasker who can handle multiple tasks
* Passion for continuous learning and a willingness to share knowledge with others.
