This Senior IT Project Manager position offers an exceptional opportunity to lead high-impact, cross-functional technology initiatives in a dynamic environment. You’ll work at the intersection of strategy and execution, partnering with diverse teams to deliver scalable business platforms while building valuable relationships across the organization and advancing your project management expertise.

* Duration: 6 month contract-to-hire
* Location: Remote, supporting Pacific time zone hours. We’re looking for someone who can travel to the company headquarters 1 time per quarter, if needed.
* Compensation: Starting at $65 per hour (W2) plus benefits, higher depending on experience. Once converted to employee, compensation included competitive base salary + comprehensive benefits.

Position Overview

As a Senior IT Project Manager, you will lead complex, cross-functional technology initiatives that enable scalable, reliable, and user-centric business platforms. This role is responsible for driving delivery across multiple technology domains—including enterprise applications, integrations, data, and customer-facing systems—while aligning teams around shared outcomes.

You will partner closely with Product, Engineering, Architecture, Data, Operations, Finance, and business stakeholders to translate strategy into execution. Success in this role requires the ability to communicate effectively with executive leadership while working day-to-day with delivery teams, navigating ambiguity, managing risk, and ensuring predictable outcomes through disciplined yet flexible delivery practices.

Key Responsibilities

* Develop, manage, and maintain end-to-end project plans including scope, schedules, dependencies, risks, assumptions, budgets, change management, and escalation paths
* Lead delivery of large, multi-workstream initiatives spanning applications, integrations, data, and operational systems
* Serve as the primary point of coordination between Product, Engineering, Architecture, Data, Operations, and external partners
* Translate business objectives and strategic priorities into executable plans and clearly defined milestones
* Drive alignment across teams with differing priorities, operating models, and constraints
* Communicate clearly and confidently with stakeholders at all levels, from executive leadership to individual contributors
* Facilitate effective ceremonies and working sessions (planning, dependency management, risk reviews, retrospectives, executive readouts)
* Proactively identify delivery risks and lead mitigation strategies before issues impact timelines or outcomes
* Support Agile ways of working by coordinating across product backlogs, release planning, PI planning, and incremental delivery
* Provide transparent, concise status reporting that enables informed decision-making
* Foster strong, trust-based relationships across the organization and act as a connector between teams
* Partner with Finance and leadership to support forecasting, funding alignment, and delivery transparency
* Manage vendor relationships and external delivery partners as needed
* Promote continuous improvement in delivery practices, tools, and cross-team collaboration

Required Qualifications

* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience preferred
* 7+ years of experience in IT project or program management delivering complex, cross-functional initiatives
* Strong understanding of Agile delivery models and experience operating in hybrid Agile / enterprise environments
* Demonstrated ability to lead initiatives that span multiple systems, teams, and stakeholders
* Proven experience communicating effectively with senior leaders while working closely with technical teams
* Experience managing timelines, dependencies, risks, and delivery across multiple workstreams
* Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-through
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Experience working with enterprise platforms, integrations, and data-driven systems
* Comfort operating in environments with evolving requirements and ambiguity
* Ability to influence without authority and drive outcomes through collaboration
* A passion for solving complex problems, simplifying where possible, and delivering meaningful outcomes

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience with project financials, forecasting, or budget awareness #LI-RJ1 #LI-DNI #LI-Remote
