Job Description
We’re seeking a seasoned Global Travel Sourcing and Operations Manager to lead and optimize our organization’s end-to-end travel program. This critical role focuses on driving operational excellence, strategic sourcing, and strong stakeholder engagement within our fast-paced, global travel operations.
Start Date: ASAP – July 2025
Duration: 12 months
Location: Remote from U.S.
Pay Rate Range: Starting at $50/hr W2 plus benefits, higher depending on experience
What You’ll Do:
* Lead & Optimize Travel Program: Oversee all facets of our global travel program, including KPI management, data analysis, and strategic decision-making to ensure a competitive, simple, and engaging traveler experience. Act as the subject matter expert on market dynamics and regulatory frameworks.
* Drive Strategic Sourcing & Operations: Manage key relationships with travel management companies (TMCs) and other vendors. Implement technology solutions, negotiate supplier agreements, and drive cost savings and program improvements through effective policy enforcement and demand management.
* Provide Operational Support: Offer direct support to travelers, resolve issues, and ensure current training materials are accessible. Assist during crisis events and manage VIP traveler satisfaction.
* Ensure Compliance & Savings: Monitor travel policy adherence, identify savings opportunities, and implement strategies to optimize traveler behavior and reduce costs across all spend categories.
* Analytics & Reporting: Analyze travel data to identify trends, ensure compliance, and provide strategic insights to leadership for continuous program improvement.
* Enhance Traveler Experience: Optimize the entire traveler journey, from booking to expense reporting, with a focus on user experience, sustainability, and duty of care.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Travel Management, or a related field.
* 8+ years of experience in travel management, sourcing, and operations.
* Strong knowledge of travel industry dynamics, regulatory frameworks, and supplier management.
* Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
* Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels.
* Proficiency in travel management tools and technologies.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience with remote-first or distributed workforces.
* Familiarity with sustainability and carbon reporting in business travel.
* Knowledge of emerging tech solutions (e.g., NDC content, integrated HRIS).
